Instructions for KSU Students on How to Book Online Appointments at the CWE
- Visit the CWE scheduling website at https://kingsaud.mywconline.net/
- Select this semester’s schedule.
- Log into your account (register for an account, if you are a first-time user).
- Click on an available white time slot.
- Choose “Yes, Schedule Online Appointment.”
- Click on CREATE APPOINTMENT.
- Open your appointment 5 or 10 minutes before it starts. Click on Start OR JOIN ONLINE CONSULTATION.
- A new tab will open and you will see the word Loading on the top for 15 seconds.
- Then, you will see a blank page for another 15 seconds.
- A white board will open with technical instructions.
- The first time you use the audio and video, your browser may prompt you to allow the use of your camera and microphone in your session. Click “Allow!”
- You can disable the camera by clicking on the video icon on the left. Keep the audio icon enabled.
- Read the instructions on the whiteboard before deleting them, so you are able to use the board efficiently.
- You can upload your writing by clicking on the reverse arrows icon > Choose File > Import Now. The whiteboard will be erased and replaced with your file.
- You can also simply copy your text (Ctrl+ C) and paste (Ctrl+ V) directly on the white board.
- Any adjustments on the text made by you or the consultant will instantly appear for both of you.
- You can chat with the consultant in the chat box on the right in case of audio problems. For example, you can ask to log out and back in again to restart the audio.
- After the session is finished, you can click on the star icon to save the session and come back to it.
- You can click on the clock icon to replay the recorded session to see all the adjustments done by you and the consultant on the white board from the beginning until the end. Clicking on the clock icone will close the session and open a new tab. Make sure you finished your session before using this icon.
Technical Tips
- Close other tabs, browsers, or programs that are open, even those unrelated to the online session, and restart the online session for smooth operation (especially audio).
- Not having a camera will prevent the online platform from working. The system is configured to first check for the availability of a camera and microphone, and if a camera is not found, the entire audio/video option becomes unavailable.
- Check your computer for any on/off switches for the camera, microphone, and speakers.
- Check the bell symbol in the address bar to allow access to the camera and microphone.
- If you do all the above and still encounter trouble, try using a different browser (Safari, Chrome, Firefox).
- Check your browser's or computer's privacy settings to allow a specific browser to use the camera.
